Through its exhibitions and public programs, Museo Jumex aspire to become a relevant institution in the field of art. This is achieved through the production (and co-production with other institutions) of exhibitions and research projects that bring contemporary art practices closer to diverse audiences.

Fundación Jumex Arte Contemporáneo was formally established on March 3, 2001 when Colección Jumex was exhibited for the first time at the Galería Jumex in Ecatepec.

In the context of the 2026 World Cup, the Museo Jumex presents Football & Art: A Shared Emotion, an exhibition tracing the various intersections between contemporary art and soccer as cultural, aesthetic, and social expressions.

The thematic cores of Football & Art: A Shared Emotion address gender, community, identity, and universality, exploring both the playful power of the game and its critical and political dimensions.

Curated by Guillermo Santamarina, the exhibition examines how Football, beyond the field and the stadium, acts as a common and universal language.
