A Logo for America, 1987, is a 42-second animation on a billboard, presented for the first time in Times Square in New York in 1987. In this work, Jaar defies the ethnocentrism of the United States in adopting the identity of the whole continent of America as its own. The activation at Mexico City’s National Auditorium is part of the exhibition Under the Same Sun: Art from Latin America Today presented at Museo Jumex in 2015.
